Featured Entrepreneur - Nyla Brandon
Nyla Brandon, owner of Nawaii Lemonade, participated in Lemonade Day to show others that you don't have to be old to be an entrepreneur; you can be young and go for your dreams. She also did it to help others in need and to be able to take her lifelong dream trip to Hawaii, the place her stand name is inspired by.
In the 2025 Lemonade Day Fort Cavazos Area season, Nyla participated in the Best of the Zest contest and won 1st place. Judges of the Shark-Tank inspired contest were highly impressed by her confidence & passion for her business. Nyla used feedback from last year's contest to prepare an amazing pitch for her lemonade stand and even gave the panel flower leis, on theme with her stand.
On Lemonade Day weekend, she set her stand up at 2 locations: CTC's College for Kids fair on Saturday, and in front of the Harker Heights Raising Cane's on Sunday. Her flavor theme was based on fruits you find on the island - pineapple, mango, and strawberry. With help from her family and friends, she was able to make enough lemonade and ended up selling out on both days! She decided to donate $350 of her proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
At the 3rd annual Lemmy Awards, Nyla was honored with the 2025 Lemonade Day Fort Cavazos Area Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Now that she's an entrepreneur, she wants to expand her business by starting social media accounts and inspire other kids to start their own as well.
"From Island to Cup - Nawaii brings Hawaii to you!"
